Carnegie Mellon University’s Department of History seeks to fill a tenure-track position in African American women’s history, rank open. We are especially interested in candidates whose research and teaching fit within the department’s program in Social and Cultural History, with its strong thematic emphases on gender/sexuality, labor, and urban history. We welcome applications from scholars working in all time periods, but are particularly interested in scholars specializing in 19th and 20th century U.S. history.
